Thumbs up Need good advice, LS1 champs inside!!

Here is my long term plan for my 02 ws6. I'm starting with what I have in the sig.
  1. For drivetrain I'll go with tci 3800 TQ, trans go shift kit, 3.43 gear and BFG DRAGS
  2. For Motor I'm thinking about the X1 MTI cam or some thing around that size still my biggest ?
  3. Exhaust is Hookers longs w/ true duels

My goal is high 11s and very streetable but with an old school rumble. Give me some fedback and tips.

Well you might want to get a 12 bolt rear end if you plan on 11's. Head's, cam for that old school rumble some tuning, and maybe a little juice.

I don't think you'll need a rear for what your doing with the automatic. It will likely give way, but it'll probably be after tons of launches. I think what you have there is good enough for high 11's easily. Could go ahead and do ported t.b., and asp pulley in the process of changing the cam since the motor will be down anyways.

Good Luck,
Josh

i believe you can hit your mark with what your looking at. the x1 is an older but great cam, but i'd still look around. your still a and there are alot of cams. if you dont change your mind about a billion times before actually purchasing a cam you didnt research enough

I know what you mean i'm doing that right now!!
How long do you think the stock rear will hold up with lets say a cover on it?
Should I what till i'm fully done to get a tune or what?

Thanks again for your input!

the rearend is bit more forgiving with the 4l60e then it is with the t-56. still not to say that yours will be bullet proof.

i'd wait until at least the cam is in to do a full tune.

Cool Thanks for your input jrp! I hope to start on the Mods very soon and I think I'll try the X1 first if i don't like I'll sell and try another! Is the 3.43 gear a good set up for what i'm in with?
