Default Ls1 block bore

I have read that you can only bore a ls1 5.7 block .010 over. Then what ? I haven't seen where you can get Pistons that size . If you run stock bore Pistons wouldn't you have piston slap with the extra clearance? I have a block out of a 04 Gto that has some rust pitting that I have honed out at .010 over just to see if I could save the block but looking for advice from here. Thanks

You're usually going to find LS1/6 specific pistons for bores ranging from 3.902-3.905", but if you or a vendor order straight from the manufacturer, you could have them custom make them for a 3.908" bore for little to no extra charge .
