Headlight lens Drama!!!
If I were to buy brand new lights from GM, How do I keep them from getting these surface cracks (Fog or whatever it is) from happening. I just don't want money wasted or my damn lights looking like this. I bought this car a month ago so I need some good opinions.

What you mean, condensation, hazing on surface, or abuse cracks???? Got any images? Also, WTF would anyone want those ricey "halo" things - they limit your illumination pattern and can distract oncomming drivers.

If I had the extra cash to burn, I'd get a set of the halo black lenses. They are far from being ricey. The clear/silver halo's .... yeah those are ricey.
Nice to see the '00 #1 SS. My '00 #15 probably spent some time in the parking lot with it.

you can them down and polish them out, and look as good as new!
there have been several people do this, and plenty with writeups and amazing results posted in here and appearance/detailing section.

Well, the pole tells me they might be a little ricey for me.

By the way... I see in your soon to come mod list that you intend on running LT's, ORY and a Loudmouth??? You will definately not like the Loudmouth on that set up. I had a Loudmouth to start, installed SLP LT's and ORY and I drove the car 0.4mi before parking it. I bought a Dynomax bullet muffler to replace the resonator in the I pipe - it made it another 0.4mi before I parked it, although it sounded better. I ended up trying my stock muffler and hated it, then went with a Magnaflow cat back... Sounds killer now and SCREAMS at WOT. Save the $300 and buy a good cat back (with a muffler) and a cutout. If you really want to try it, I'll send you my old Loudmouth... The only cool thing is making people jump off the sidewalk and into the bushes with a quick stomp on the pedal...
Sorry to jump into this topic, but I spent about $900 is catbacks trying to get the car to a point where it sounded good... thought I would save you some trouble.

I think I will listen to you! I know that the Loudmouth sounds good when everything is stock. I need to go review those sounds again. I definitely appriciate the out of the blue pointers any day. thanks dude.
