I have a 1968 Camaro, recent LS1 swap from a 2001 SS, it has a loud squealing or whistling type noise, can barely hear it at idle, and gets louder as the RPMs increase. I have removed the belt, oil cap, IAC blocked off, loosen the exhaust pipes from the , disconnected the PCV hoses, no change. The noise is pretty loud, you can hear it from inside the car no problem. Doesn't matter whether the clutch is in or out. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Thank you

i saw a s-10 with a standard trans that had a noise like that i turned out to be in the clutch or maybe a dry pilot bearing like that
