Default Cam troubles

I installed a cam in my 2011 5.3 Silverado the motor only has 5k miles on it everything is new and the cam specs are 590/224/110 and it’s making a lot of bad noises from up top and I’ve checked the rockers and pushrods 3 times and re torqued them several times and I just can’t figure out what’s wrong with it

Pull the valve covers and watch how everything moves while someone turns the crank by hand. You could have a lifter issue or maybe you didn't line up the cam with the crank on assembly or maybe it's a dozen other things. Only way to know is to find what part isn't moving right.

when you installed the cam, did you change the springs, pushrods or anything else? Need more info, what cam exactly? Bad noises as in grinding, or something tagging another part?

Maybe there is a collapsed lifter or bent valve?

It’s has blue ls3 springs and ported and polished 799 heads but that was all done 5k miles before the cam was put in all I did was slide the old cam out witch was a gm ls2 hotcam and put the new one in and changed to a melling performance oil pump the cam is a custom cam through mikes performance motors

I think the valve springs are the culprit. Your cam has a higher lift than the springs are rated for. You might be having coil bind. I would check that out before it drops a valve
