Default Changing from long tube header to shorty, do I need a tune?

I already had the car dyno tuned (13.0 afr). I live in CA, and want to stay away from the popos giving out exhaust tickets. My question is do I have to retune the car? I'll be installing bbk shorty headers in place of slp long tubes.

Thanks in advance

Does your current set of headers cause your vehicle to smoke, sound loud, fail a tail pipe test, visual examination or otherwise attract attention to your vehicle? Are these two sets of headers CARB approved? These are the questions I would confront first.

Yes, you should retune the car.

long tubes are not going to pass the visual in California, nor would they clear a sniffer. No lt’s are carb compliant anyway since they move the location of the cats, if you even have them installed

Hi Rick,

no the car doesn't attract attention, but I don't want to risk a state ref ticket. They are carb approved.

Oh and the car has high flow cats.
