Default LS1 with different belt squeal at pulley

I have an 84' Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a 01' Corvette LS swap. I changed the A/C unit to a top mounted system due to motor mount locations not working with my setup.

In the attached photo I cannot seem to stop this upper pulley from squealing. Does anyone have experience with addressing this noise or a possible fix to my issue? I've changed the pulley to a new one, same issue. Everything is inline so no weird angles on the belt.

Thank you for any help.

You may need to change to a slick pulley vs. a grooved one. I think that is what I had to do

cooskeyb, do you mean, no grooves for the belt or is a slick pulley something different. I figured since the grooves are facing down then their isn't any way I can use a slick if that was the case.

sjsingke1, it isn't the belt, it's squealing at the bearing mount interface.

Thanks!

for ***** and giggles, with the vehicle running pour water on the grooved side of the belt and see if the noise quits

I don't think the belt cares if the pulley is groved or not.
