Thank you for reporting back as to what the problem was. A lot of times people give advice on here and we never find out which of the many possibilities actually solved the problem.

Glad to hear the outcome was good! Avoid the ethanol gas if leaving gas in the car too. Did you drop the tank or cut the access hole?
