Default Newbie Starting From Scratch - Battery wiring?

The roller I bought was missing the battery cables. The motor is in the car now. I bought some from AutoZone and have ran a positive from the battery to the starter. I have the ground from the wiring harness on the starter as well. I ran a negative from the battery to the engine. I then ran a temp wire from the positive battery terminal to the fusebox post on the driver side. I have a "service engine soon" light on the dash so that's progress, but I am thinking I should be seeing a lot more. I have attached all misc. grounds I can find. Two on passenger side by battery, 3 behind the engine attached to the block, and a couple other misc. ones.

Could anyone help me out? I know it's extremely broad and not an easy task probably but hoping I can get it done.

I don't think I've ever seen a starter that has a ground wire run to it. The starter is grounded solely by beening bolted to the engine block

Regaring battery wires, you should have:

B+ to starter
B+ to alternator
B+ to power dist. block

B- to chassis
B- to engine block
Ground from engine to chassis
