First ls1, ignition problem started out of nowhere

Default First ls1, ignition problem started out of nowhere

My uncle recently gave me a 4th gen camaro, it’s been good but yesterday I went to move the car, and put key in and it started turning freely, security light is on but I thought maybe the ignition cylinder was bad, changed that but same problem, not sure what it could be, maybe something else is broken or bad, trying to post a video but it won’t let me

Do a search on the site on VATS. The security system on these cars goes catawampus and prevents a start. The fix is to insert a chip into the ignition hotwire that matches the resistance in your key to bypass the security system.
