Ok, my buddy is going to buy a lid from someone. They said the clips are missing, however I being an LT1 guy have never installed a lid...where are the clips? If they are missing does that mean the lid is broke? or do they clip to the lid? Any details guys? Thanks!

umm, the clips should be on his lower airbox?? not the lid
the lid just seats on the box and then you clip it down

If he means the tabs are missing, which are on the back of the lid, then no, dont buy it. I think there are two on each side.

Why would the tabs be missing? Tabs seem like they would be hard to break off. Maybe the person selling it does not know the clips are on the lower air box?

Looks fine to me. The clips are already on the car, on the lower airbox like others have said.
