Insurance
I was wondering what is a common yearly amount for Full Coverage Insurance on a '02 Trans Am WS6?
I am being charged $2600 a year (that is with a $1,000 deductable and the 50/100/50 {something like that} Policy). I am 19 and It is throught Hartford. Is this high...
Anyone know if I can get it cheaper somewhere else

Nope, you're young that's the problem. See about getting a good driver or a defensive driving course deduction. AAA has a driver's improvement course that does that for you. I'm over 25, married, with multi vehicle and was paying $275/mo for both cars 100/300 policies and a $30K life insurance premium. Oh, my wife's car is a 95 Grand Cherokee Limited.

I pay around $600/year with State Farm for my '99 Firehawk (full coverage)...it's NOT my daily driver...my daily driver is a Ford Taurus SHO (liability only) and that only runs $300 a year. Being married and almost 40 helps...Plus multi-car discount and having life and home insurance with them too...
You might want to check out Progressive Insurance...
Good luck!

Yeah yours is HIGH.
But the good thing about it you only 19.

It seemed strange to me, because my isurance was almost $900 cheaper per year when I had the Corvette (It was a '01 and a covertible) and now I have a cheaper car with almost double the insurance rate....
They said the Corvette was a "Class 19" and the Trans Am was a "Class 22"
Damn $200 a month is a car note to some people...

If you're in school try to get a good student discount. Also try to see if you can bluff your way into some of the other discounts, like membership in some clubs. My insurance company did not require me to prove my membership into the Honor Society. Check it out. Also see if you can drop medical insurance, as long as your other insurance will cover injuries if you're in a vehicle accident.
BTW
180/mo 2 cars, 2 drivers, both under 25, both cars are being paid for in San Francisco, Ca.

i'm 31, single, and i pay 1600 a year for full coverage. i havent had insurance for years (had no car) and for some reason the ins companies use that to charge you more. i'm also in cook county chicago, which i guess is a pretty pricey place. but overall 1600 aint too bad, as 4 years ago on a 71 lemans 4door i paid 1400 a year, and that was just for liability... (i dont get it either)
i would scope some quotes from different companies, but being 19 with an '02 ws6...

I sell insurance...
That prices looks about right, but Im not too sure because rates also change due to geographcal locations.
Full coverage by my house is $80 less a MONTH that full coverage by my girlfriends house (20 miles away)
