Default Why does my 6.0 feel like a 4.3 sometimes ??

I've asked this before on here but never really got a definitive answer....it just happened again this morning but when I went out again a few minutes ago it was back to normal

It doesn't do it alot, but when it does it is VERY noticable......and it usually does it when it is hot out.

The engine won't rev as quickly, the low-end torque is GONE, and the gas mileage goes down dramatically when this happens, it doesn't matter whether the A/C is on or off either, it's kind of a random thing

Like I said.....it only happens when it is hot outside and even then maybe only once or twice a summer

Most of the reason it happens when the weather is hot is because your engine is probably seeing more detonation at full load. This sets off the knock retard sensors, which pulls ignition timing down as far as required to prevent knock/detonation.
