Progressive Tuner? Wtf?
I was on ebay this morning & seen this thing. Anybody heard of it or is it worth trying?

Yeah I saw that a few weeks back since I frequent eBay quite a bit... what a joke.
It's just like those resistors that you plug in between the IAT sensor and the connector. Since many temperature sensors work off resistance, they just use a resistor that will give a false reading like 32* F. They tell you this tricks the computer into advancing timing, and adding fuel. The computer will figure out what's going on since it has a MAF (not to mention when it goes to closed loop). And from looking at the various tables in the PCM. It appears that the PCM doesn't care a whole lot about IAT anyways. I doubt it really does anything besides annoy the PCM...
The Progressive Tuner simply wires into the factory harness of the IAT sensor. The module will work with the sensor to provide a new signal to your vehicles computer, or ECU. The ECU then adjusts your air/fuel and timing advance curves to new performance settings.

I have looked some more & found this info here.
Sounds like it dosent do much. Or if you wanted to do it you could just buy a resistor at radio shack for less than a buck. I am not going to try it.
