Speeding ticker, can i get out of it.
I driving down the road in a 65 zone a few weeks ago and it turns into a 30 during certian hours of the day. Well i missed this sign being new to the area and got stopped.
The officer said that all i had to do it pay $10 and go to driving school and i wouldnt have to pay the ticket and it would go on the insurance.
Well i called to talk to them about it today and they say it will cost 170 plus 10 to keep it off the insurance.
Considering he told me i wouldnt have to pay it would i be able to get off to the degree of not paying the ticket?

No thats bullshit. If you take the school, then it should reduce the amount of the ticket. I got popped at like 79 in a 60, and the ticket would have been like 230. got them to let me take DD, and i payed 90 for court fees and costs and such(they still want some money) and then 40 for the school. saved me ~100 that can now go towards mods or beer. lol.

I have a ticket for 74 in a 50 and the cost is $160, but with defensive driving it will be $90(not includind DD cost).

I got an 89 in a 75, I had to pay the entire fine (admission of guilt) and like $45 for the online DD school, but because of the school, it doesn't go on my driving record.
I guess each state is different.

Im just kinda wondering if i should argue that the officer said i wouldnt have to pay a fine and now they say i have to. Would it do any good or just **** the judge off ?

Yeah, it wont matter. He would probably deny saying that. Besides the fact that the judge will just see that you were speeding.
