Default Trans Am Problems?

i'm looking at a 1999 trans am...6-speed...60,000miles...now i know that a lot of yall have much more miles...but is there anything that i will most likely end up replacing soon...i plan on doing full exhaust (True Duals) right away...then full intake...and depending on how much money i have left...i'll do heads/cam/oil pump...i just want to know what all i should look out for as far as replacing...small things don't bother me...but big things do...i don't have enough money to be paying for big stuff...like a new engine or transmission or rear end...a clutch i may be able to deal with since i will need a new one soon with the heads/cam...but who knows...any little details will help...i'm ready to finally get a trans am...i'm getting ancy and don't want to make a bad decision...i know my car is fine with 58,000 miles but my dad is a low mileage fanatic...so he gets me thinking

mine has 130k and still runs good. the only thing major that ive had to replace was the rearend and i think that was because it was a bad one when i got it.

Do a research here is a thread for you: How hard is racing on your car
Just click on the search button and type it in.
You can read tons of stories about how tough F-bodies are. High mileage modded to hell race cars without major or any problams. I would not be afraid to buy an LS1 with 60-80000 miles on it. But I was willing to pay more for a 2002 with 30000 miles on it. If you have more money you have more options....
Just make sure to check out everything.

Gud luck and keep us informed.

i won the bid at the auction with 8,900 but they guy was wanting 10,500 and it wasn't worth it to me...didn't look like it had been wrecked but left side was repainted and it didn't match 100%...so i let it go...i really don't like silver too much anyhow...i really want a black one...possibly pewter...then silver...
