z06 clutch kit form SDPC ----->

comes with a new flywheel, clutch disk, and pressure plate for 350$!

definatly get a new 2001+ slave cylinder to go along with it (115$?) and also a new master cylinder if you want to have all new stuff (140$).

i'm about to put this exact setup in my car, and when that clutch goes, i'm going to turn the flywheel down and replace with a spec 3 or 4, and i'll have new hydraulics

i would also HIGHLY recommend getting a Mityvac to bleed ALL the air from your new hydraulic system. air in the lines is often hard to get out by just using the bleeder under the car, this plugs into the mastercylinder under the hood and you simply stand beside the car and pull a vacuum on the system. air in your lines will cause your clutch feel to go to hell and the car not shift worth a ****. got mine from tooltopia.com for about 40 bux shipped

is the mityvac basically just something you use to bleed brakes, clutch, etc with? or does it serve other purposes?

I not only does what you just mentioned it also can be used to diagnosis componets that need a vacuum supply, things like EGR valves and transducers,etc.etc. We use them quite a bit in my shop.

I agree if you never plan any serious HP mods, but if 10 miles down the road you decide to but up the power,if you install a spec 3 you are one step ahead of the game, the Z06 clutch is a great value for the money.
