98 LS1 Computer Problems

I now know that the P0601 code is the control module read only memory (ROM), if that code is taken from my LS1 engine's computer, will that keep my car from starting?

Possibly, PCM problems can screw up everything. Do you have any more info on this? When did it start? What did you do? What does the car do? All I can say it doesn't sound good.

P0601 is a bad, bad, bad code. My book says "Replace the PCM even if this DTC exists only in history."
