i have been reading this site for a while now, and alot of free/cheap mods are offered. however some mods have negative comments like not worth it etc. most of the tech how to sites so all the free mods... so which free/cheap mods should i do?

If you're still running stock rear LCAs, try changing them over to poly bushings. That's like a $45 mod, tightens up the rear end a lot.

The best ones, IMO, are free ram air (if you don't have CAI yet) and home porting of throttle body. Any weight you can remove is a big plus as well. Spare tire/jack and carry some fix a flat.
I consider weight removal a version of "free mods". I removed my windshield washer fluid/reservoir, rear seat, insulation from under the carpet, spare tire/jack, front sway bar, AIR/EGR.... You can keep the rear seat belts and still put people back there pretty easily even without the seats. I ended up removing the seat belts anyway.
