jeez I don't like to think which one is best cause to me best is installing multiple items then feeling the difference, otherwise its like "oh yeah I can feel a small difference". Longtubes headers stall and gears make a huge difference with performance, as far as feeling it goes. Some people like one over another, but generally each of those seem to be the favorite ones.

Definitely the Torque Converter ... use the Search feature. If it's working, you'll find a lot of threads with e ton of information about this same subject.

Is forced induction considered a bolt-on? I figure if you dont consider price, a power adder would be up there.

Very good reading right there. Just a couple things to get you started. An Aftermarket MAF is generally a no-no unless you're making 500+ hp. $50 resistors (aka Timing Trickers) are a joke. K+N filters don't really do much for our cars. Sure, they don't have to be replaced, but sometimes oil gets in the MAF and jacks it up.

Well, that'll get you started. Most guys that aren't in the know would recommend the aforementioned parts for anybody new to modding LS1s. But at LS1tech, we know better. Save your dough for some real mods, like the ones the other guys talked about.

FWIW, I should have done the stall first. Good rule of thumb for choosing a torque converter: Pick one you think you can handle...then go one step above it.

Yup, torque converter for an auto, and headers and a cutout. And for non power adders, a Pro 5.0 and some SFC.

a converter is the best possible upgrade for an automatic car.

what some people call small converter (3000 rpm) knocked off half a second.

As I stated. Definitely a torque converter, however, jrp mentioned long tubes ... made me look at it from a different angle. With long tubes, you do get 'muscle' great sound, so, if it's not ONLY power and better times you're looking for, then, long tubes will give you that AND a nice-sounding ride ... will cost you more money, though, to do exhaust and intake in order for the LT's to give the full benefit. Costwise, probably converter first.

Note that this guy has an M6. So I would say what's next on the list after the torque converter. I would say headers. Maybe the pro 5.0 shifter.

Converter with good tires. I'm actually slower now with the street tires, mph stayed the same though.

Even on street tires you should be faster with the converter. Learn to feather the throttle at launch so you don't roast the tires and you should essenetially be able to at least equal the 60', but you would get the shift extension advantage of the converter going into second and third.
