Default ‘01 Trans am overheating at idle

Hi yall, i was looking through so of the other forum posts for issues like this but it just generally confused me. relays and fuses are good, engine doesnt overheat while moving and getting air. dont know exactly what to look for now (or where to look) any help on where to test next and what to try would be greatly appreciated. ill attach an image of the engine bay to so if it helps point things out.

Coolant levels good? Hard to tell with that shroud there but looks like the factory radiator.. if coolant levels check good I'd probably replace that thing and the fan assy just for peace of mind (even if it wasn't overheating)

i checked the levels and it seems pretty overfilled, im not sure if that would have an affect on it or not?

I would check the fuse and relay that controls the fans. IIRC the fans one or both should come on when you turn on the AC.

all the relays are good and theres no blown fuses so i dont know if its the actual fan or if wiring had messed up somewhere along the line? is there an easy way to see if its the fan thats the problem? it spins by hand easily so its not locked

Sounds to me like the fan relay is bad, I would check ground and voltage at the fan plug. You could also run a 12v constact from the battery directly to the fan and verify that the fan is working

do you have dual or single fan? Regardless you will see the plug go into the fan. It's literally the only wires going to the fan. What did you do to verify the relay?

its has a dual fan, and i tested it with a multimeter to see if current was running through (which is was)

I'd check the connectors to see that I was getting 12v to them first. You could also use a 12v battery and take some test leads to see if you can get the fans to power up. That will rule out if the fans are working or not

You could test the fans the easy way with almost no tools.
I made this video for this post.

I don't understand. Could you explain how you tested it? Current is amps. Did you test continuity?
