wow, thats pretty rough, i havent floored mine since sunday... Its tough to stop urself, expecially once you floor it once. Here's the trick to stopping...

Hold off for one day, its tough but thats the hardest part. Once you go awhile without driving it that hard, its seems natural to be nice to it, and you even get used to it. That dosent mean you can own some dumb ricer whenever you see fit, but once you form the habbit, you are in the clear. thats what i did.

Yeah, I think I need therapy or something. Nothing has ever worked for me. I will try that. My everyday routine is: WOT down some road, then pull over in self-disgust and regret praying to God that nothing is wrong with my car.

This madness has to stop!

Seriously, though, I know how you feel. Exactly, I may add.

You get over it once you realize your car isn't fast anymore. It'll feel just as slow as the last car you once owned. Then you'll just start driving around normal until you get a new mod.

I haven't realized how hard it was until I got this new clutch. Been about 400 miles (100-150 highway) and haven't been able to floor it yet. Haven't even gone past 2500. can't wait till it's broken in. I just got a new TB and UD pulley.

Being a responsible father and family man, I find myself torn between gas mileage, proper care of my investment, and tickling that large part of the brain and spinal cord that enjoys the squeal of tires, the roar of the engine, and the sensation of speed and acceleration. The responsible part doesn't always win!

It's just one of those crosses that we (grin and) bear...

Whats the point of owning one of these cars if you can't rip down some road doing 50 over the speed limit and waking up all the neighbors?

Very tough habit to break. It helps thinking about getting a ticket and having to go to traffic school.

I just don't worry about it. The car is made to run.

I normally run it up to 4-5k here and there, but somewhat limit WOT.
