Default Can someone please tell me what this is?

I'm feelin' kinda dumb here. I thought I knew my way around the engine bay, but then I found this thing flopping around one day. It seems to have come unfastened from somewhere?

Its for your emissions system. It usually connects into your air lid.

Used to connect to your stock air box, that's the result of the aftermarket lid.
Perfectly normal, might tie wrap it to something though.

It goes from the stock lid to the AIR pump. When the aftermarket lid got installed, you have to put a filter on the end of the hose, or put a gromet in the lid for the hose to go into.

As stated above, it is for emissions.
It leads to the AIR (Air Injection R?) pump which feeds filtered air to the CATs to improve catalytic conversion. I dont remember if its on all the time or just for a short time after start-up though.

It connected to the stock air lid. Some aftermarket lids have provisions for it, some supply a seperate filter to plug in the end like you have.

It should not just be flopping around in there. I'd recommend zip-tying it away from moving parts. I zip-typed mine in almost the same location that it was in before I replaced the lid, using one of the holes used by the old lid's push-in fasteners.
