changin LS1 block to 6.0
 
I've a 2000 ss M6 with PP LS6 heads 59cc stoke 5.7
231/237 598/595 112 cam. and i need to changin the LS1 stock block to the 6.0 liter iron blockand i need to use 200 shot TNT


1- should change the piston to use nitrous?
2- what piston clearance -2 Or Dish ?
3- what hp i will get if i change Piston con rod ?
My gool is 550 RWHP

200 wet or dry?? If your going to build a new motor get yourself forged rods and pistions dont reuse the stockers. Also you dont NEED to go to the iron block the aluminum 5.7l will handle 550rwhp with ease. For pistions I'd get a -2cc flat top to keep the compression up for the juice.

That's right on. You want high compression for the nitrous. Plus you want forged pistons and connecting rods. The rods themselves won't give you more power, they will just allow you to run more power without blowing the engine. I wouldn't get the 6.0L iron block. First off it weighs almost 100lbs more. Second for using a 200shot you would be perfectly fine with an aluminum block. Third you'd prolly want to get a new cam (bigger) if you went with the 6.0L because of added cubes.
