Mine does that too. I don't mind.

My favorite part is turning through an intersection at moderate-to-agressive throttle and getting a little sideways with a simple upshift. Woo-Hoo! Lets see a stock ricer do THAT!

i can get a nice shirp when i downshift into 2nd at around 40 mph, but i cant ever get a 1-2 chirp, even when i shift at redline and nail it. it's got 60k miles on it and is an LS1 M6. do you suspect the clutch is starting to go bad?

No it doesn't. I had an 01 5spd with mods and I'd have to hagger it to spin the tires hitting 2nd. They make about 235-240rwhp stock A bone stock GT A4 might spin the tires from a dead stop on a good night...in a puddle.

Yea im not sure about a4 stangs, they dont seem very fast. A relatives of mine had a couple and i have driven them and they could barely turn the tires from a dead dig. But then again sometimes there are freak fast cars.

My buddy has an 99 T/A with 2.73 gears and stock we could get em into 2nd on a rare occasion... but now he has a Lid, bellows and a loud mouth (+all the free mods) and we can get em almost everytime now

I'd kill for just a chirp going into second, or downshifting to 1st from it in my a4, i hit the limiter going into 2nd from a downshift at 40, it sucks man and i have decent tread

My daughters '98 A4 has 3.23's with a lid and a Flowmaster, and a 160 thermostat. It shifts very firmly into 2nd, and easily gets rubber. Is it rare? It's got 80k easy miles on it, and runs extremely well for what it is.

Something is definetly not right. I can squak the tires pretty good in an 04 Tacoma 5 speed when shifting from 1st to 2nd, with all of 140 crank horsepower.

Before the shift kit and tune with BFG KDW tires I never had the car sqwack the tires with a 1 to 2 shift. After the shift kit it was all I could do to keep from sqwacking the tires. Now with a tune and the shift kit adjusted with my Pirellis I never sqauck them unless I am starting to get into the throttle.

FWIW - I put some Nitto 550 on some old Firebird 16 x 8 rims and those sqwacked all the time without a shift kit but they also had terrible traction compared to my BFG KDW or Pirellis on 17 x 9 (9.5).

Mine would stock most of the time. With my current mods it doesn't chirp much, it actually rolls them over a little and the *** kicks out a little. Darn the badluck, lol.

if nothing is wrong with your car you are shifting to slow.

I can get my slow *** v6 to chirp 1-2, and if it's a bit humid I can get a 2-3 chirp.

Unless you have some really shitty tires, there is no way stock your going to get them to light up from a stop... unless your term of light up is just a LITTLE bit of smoke...

when I had the original tires on here they would chirp 1-2 and could spin a whole bunch from a stop, but they were basically bald, the new BFG KDW's it's hard to make them spin from a stop on dry pavement unless I hold the brake alittle...
