Yeah, but if I dont nail it it feels like its bogging and if I cant hook up the power I have now then any mods would be useless. Right?

Get some tires. It's not hard to hook a stock LS1.

Sorry dude, not to sound insulting, but before you hop up your suspension and tires, get some experience driving that car.
Any car with any sort of horsepower/torque is not gonna hook right off the line with stock suspension and street tires. So your question hints a bit at your experience. There is nothing wrong with that, we have all been there.
I used to think that all cars peeled out by stomping on the gas. I was very dissapointed with my first car which was a 1979 Ford thunderbird..LOL
BTW you are correct that without proper traction with the power you have now that additional power will be useless.

learn how to launch. do you powerbrake or just romp the gas? a little power braking always helps.

Im runnin almost new fuzions they came on the car and i dont know how they compare to other tires, but are tires a quick fix? or do I just need more practice? I want to put it to the floor and have it hook. Is this possible?

powerbrake untill the tires about to spin...let off brake while applying more pressure to the gas.
