Default Z06 Clutch

Hey guys

About to order the Z06 clutch from GMpartsdirect and just wondering if I will anything other than the Z06 clutch kit part #12570808? It's just a bolt-on replacement for a 98 Z28 right?
My SPEC is slipping like crazy so this is what's going in next. Any other suggestions would gradly be appreciated as well

Thanks,

Josh

look into the centerforce dual friction clutch, or the ram, or textrilla clutch. the zo6 clutch is fine if you don't want to put a lot of power down.

LS7 setup, but you go to use Ls2 flywheel. The hole setup will put you back about $550 to $600 shipped. Its good for alot of power and stock feeling pedel and no chatter. built for a 427ci 500hp c6 zo6

My stock clutch went out in my 99 ss and i replaced it with the z06 clutch and it has it feels the exact same as the stock one and will do just fine depending on how much moddin you are planning on doing. If you are going to keep it fairly stock then the zo6 will do just fine but if u plan on moddin it much i would recommend the centerforce dual friction!!!

I agree with stangkiller. IF you are sticking at close to stock powerl evels and you dont plan on using a sticky tire, then the ZO6 is a good choice.

If you are making more than 375rwhp I wouldn't get a z06 clutch (even though I did) i was tight on money though.
