Air lids and how to keep them on! This is a good fix for those who have or are having issues with air lid clips coming loose.
When you look at the box clips the air lid clips and how they mount to the box, sometimes over time, the box itself can "warp" due to the way the clips hold on to the air lids. Sometimes this can be due to age, other times it is also a misaligned air filter holder that isn't pushed in all the way reinforcing the air lid clip supports.
My fix was to insert a metal bracket ( I had spares from a transmission mounting cooling kit) and reinforce that general area where the clips hook on to the box there by pushing the bottom of the clips forward and getting the geometry of the clips more or less back to the way the factory air lid was secured.
