Default which one should l buy?

here are my questions..

first car, l talked the guy on the phone today and he says the car is his father's and in mint condition and his father got new charger, easy to get in-out and this car is in the middle and sell the car.. l offered 12.500 and he said it is ok for him but that is as low as he could go. l checked the carfax, it is one owner and no accident record and last serviced at 46k miles. they replaced the flywheel, clutch, rear end and rear shocks right on 46k miles. and this guy says that he got the service papers. the car has 51.100 miles 6 speed.

PHOTOS:

the second car:
l have been talking to this guy, he is the original owner and the car now has 40.200 miles on and 12.750 deal. the car is 100% stock, regular trans am.

PHOTOS:

if you were me, which one would you buy? l love black and its WS6. but 10k more miles. the red one is ok, but if l get it, l will purchase ram air hood and paint it which is like 1 grand.

so let me know what do you think please.

thanks

Go with the WS6. Sounds like that's the one you want, it looks pretty well taken care of and you'd have all the service records and know the history of the vehicle.....plus you won't have to buy a hood and pay to have it painted. 10k more miles is nothing on these cars.

It sounds like you want the WS6 more, so go for it. That red T/A is in desperate need of a cleaning of the engine bay

yeah, l want the black one but l am scared.. why would you replace flywheel, clutch, rear end, and rear shocks on 46k miles? does that mean he beat the car? maybe engine is tired too.. l am just trying to make the right desicion..

Get the WS6. Don't worry about the miles. My clutch was slipping at 38k. I got it at 36k and the I don't believe the previous two owners were even familiar with the term "burnout," so I know it wasn't abused. Nature o' da beast.

If you don't want the WS6, PM me where it's at and I'll buy it! lol

as much as I don't like the WS6, it's the better deal out of the two

you forgot one of the most important things...the year. if the black was a 1998 and a red a 2002...i'd say consider the red very carefully. i personally like the black one better myself.

well...u could always buy a WS6 hood and get it painted...

if you're way too on edge, just wait on it. there are plenty of black WS6's out there. no need to jump on it if you're scared. buy what you feel comfortable with. no use buying a car you're scared to drive.

yes it would be function, just get a raised airbox. the red one would be best plus you would already have the ls6 intake and better clutch, and tranny etc. etc.

Neither of these cars would have LS6 intake or Z06 clutch and I didn't know there was any year model specific changes to the tranny

I'd probably go with the red one - Even if the father never raced the black one, you KNOW the son ragged the **** out of it every time he drove it. My 2000 M6 had 80,000 miles on it when I sold it and it still had the original clutch in it and never gave me a single problem.

Out of the 2 choices I would get the red one. Only becuse it has been taken care of more then the ragged out black one.

I'd say that the ws6 has been through hell if its had all those repairs done. Who knows what problems might be lurking. Of course, it might be in better shape than teh red one since it's had all those repairs.

If I were you I'd find out about the service records of the red one, and if its been maintained I"d go with it. Less of a gamble imo.
