Default Wanting some insight/opinions

Ok, so I've decided to get an ls1 powered vehicle, either a 98+ Z28/SS or a 98+ TA.

I am almost 18 years old, and work about 30-40 hours a week making 8.50 an hour. I am wondering what a good price for one of these cars is for my given situation..? I want decent miles, anything under 80,000 is probably ok, right? Thanks guys..

be patient, start looking at e-bay all the time for these f-body's. Get a good feel for generally how much money one will be. A 99 Trans Am 30th Anniv. edition will be more than say, an 02 SS. You cant really go by blue book on any of these cars. I am 21 now and wanted one ever since i was 16...been looking for the past 3 months and finally found an 02 SS. Sure, i wanted a 30th anniv. TA but the cheapest one i could find was like 17 grand and i had been looking for a long long time. That car had 86,000 miles and i was like, no way. Then i came across this 02 SS A4, not exactly what i wanted but it only had 34,000 miles and i picked it up for 16 grand. Thats just my story in searching for an f-body. Give it some good thought on what u want...i thought for sure i would want a six speed but went with an auto for several reasons when push came to shove. Just dont rush to do anything, trust me, i have had several toys and made mistakes buying certain things because i thought i had to hurry. You will find too with these cars that the longer you wait and see more different kinds of f-bodys, your taste will change for them. hope that helps, good luck

I sold my 98 Z28 M6 for 8700. It had 83XXX miles on it. Hopefully that will help out a bit. In my experience, Camaros cost less than Firebirds though.

yeah, T/A's and WS6's are by far the most expensive f-bodies right now....way better to go with a Z28 or SS price wise. Think of your T/A & Formula equal to a Z28 and WS6 equal to the SS. And a Firehwak is really just badging/cosmetics.
