So I just got a 2000 T/A WS6 last week and I was thinking about tinting it out. The color of the car is red and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what % I should put on my car. Also if anyone has any pics of their red WS6 that has been tinted that would help out a ton.

15% seems to be a good tint, but there are some that go with 5% tint and get away with it.

id chech with your local police and see what the legal tint is for your state. some cops dont care and sum cops use it just to pull you over and make sure your papers are up to date. either way, you dont want to have to redo it cause its not legal. but i think 15 on the back and 25 on the sides look decent. just my .02 cents

I like 5% all around but the lightest i'd go is 15 on the sides and of course 5 on the back.

5% looks the best, but is also the hardest to see out of at night. I've got 5% on mine.

id go with what they said i just got mine tinted not even a week ago and got pulled over the other night because of it when he checked my side windows it said 17% i thought i had 20% on the sides and was told at the place i got the tint that 20 was the legal.the state trooper said 30 or 40% was legal anyway in my opinion it isnt worth getting hastled all the time for it.And when i got pulled over for it my windows were down at the time.it was on the 30th damn quota

Yeah the tint % adds on top of the minimal tint in place from the factory. So the film they used only allowed 20% of the light to pass through, but the factory glass was maybe only letting 85-90% in in the first place so you arrive at a number like 17. If you're actually trying to keep it 100% legal you need to factor in the slight factory tint in addition to the rating on the aftermarket.

I had 5% all the way around on my black Camaro and it looked awesome. When I get the money I'm doing it to the new car as well. I usually drove around with my windows down or whatnot so I wouldn't get hassled but the only thing a cop ever said to me was "damn those windows are dark!" and that was it.

i had 2 layers of 15% on my E36 bmw. It was crazy dark and a pain in the *** at some times to drive at night but the look is unbeatable. As soon as i get everything together im gonna go get 5% limo put on mine, i wouldnt have anything else.
