if you know how to jet the carb and dont mind making adjustments on the car then "tunning" will be something much more simple that you can do yourself. What carb are you thinking about going with. Alot of people used Barry Grant Demon carbs. They are a holly 4 barrel design with many revisions and a nice design.

the 3.4L V6...ah my old bird. just know, there is no tuning software out there for a 3.4L V6. you'll have to get some type of piggyback system, i hear the great tiago used megasquirt with his turbo setup. you may want to talk to him about that.

for heads, the most popular are the alumium heads off of the year 2000+ 3400 grand am motors. check out www.fullthrottlev6.com for more information, they have a guy on there, russell, who has a V6 hybrid 3.4L/3400 that kept up with a stock LT1 on top end - pretty impressive. his account is Black34v6. check out the 60* V6 tech section. drop him a few PM's, he'll help you. he really gets off modding those beasts

the 207 iron block V6 is actually quite strong. they just can't be revved high. their peak hp is produced ~4600rpm's so they rarely have problems with rods like LS1's which produce peak hp at ~6000rpm's. as long as he keeps the rpms under, say 5200 the block is nearly indestructable. even with built up bottom end i'd never rev a 3.4L past 6 grand though. not only is it dangerous, there's NO power up there.

He's talkin about an LS1 man, I'm pretty sure AFR doesnt make 225 V6 heads

EDIT: Sorry bro, I just read over that, sounded rude, wasnt my intention!

Sounds like it's time for him to go to the LS1-LS6 Internal Engine section and do some more research...unless we're talking about an iron block.

Why would you ruin an LS1 with a carb?
