HELP NEWBIE IN NEED!!! C5 Questions
Hello! I just got my first sports car... Ive been into fourwheeling and now im going to try the car thing.. Im only 20 years old so im broke!! . Well I just bought a 2000 Checy Corvette With 30k its 6spd. and it came with a borla cat-back..(but its very quiet) anyways I dont have money for heads or a cam... SO what bolt-ons can i do for now to get the most out of this car? also what do you think the fastest this car can do in the 1/4 mile with bolt-ons? lemme know. Thanks for all the help... Brad

You want to start with longtubes and intake. The motor needs to be able to breath smoothly so start with the basics. I would purchase some longtubes first. If you want better times you really do not need to focus on power as much, in the beginning, as you do traction. There is a very helpful sticky around here. I will try to find it for you.

Start with an intake, there are several different ones out there, so it's pretty much personal preference. Then get a decent cat-back. Again it boils down to personal preference. next get a set of headers. These aren't cheap for the C5, you'd be lucky to get a set installed for under $1k. Then you'll want to get an ls6 intake and a ported tb. After that I would recommend getting a tune. You should be around 350rwhp at this point.
