i might be getting a 01 Z28 w/ 50k on the clock its completely stock black leather gfx package and hurst shifter. the dealership is asking 15,995 ive looked at the values and normal retail is about 14,995. i have also seen a few everynow and then w/ 40-60k go for between 12-14k. im just wondering if some may think i might be paying to much. any help is apreciated

its all relative to the car...considering its a 6 -speed, 16k isn't outrageous by any means...id offer 14 and settle on 15, or maybe say 16 driveout. if it runs solid and no problems, go for it!

Look in the forsale section here and you should find some nicely modded cars with about the same mileage going for less than that. Just deppends on what you are looking for and what your are willing to spend.

i bought an '01 firebird formula with 24.9k, all options except leather, new tires, Z06 rims and the corsa catback with the premium tips for $14,500. talk them down as a Z28 in general is less money than a firebird. pair that with the twice as high mileage and you should try and talk them down to 12k.

Take if from a former dealership employee, if they are that deep in that car, then SOMEONE screwed up.

1st of all if you buy from a dealership you are going to pay more for it than you would if you bought it from an individual just b/c they are obviously going to mark it up. If you can hold out and buy one from an individual you will come out better. Do you have a trade in and are you putting any cash down on it? I bet you can get that car for $13,500 to $13,000 out the door.
