what's needed to disable:
I'm making plans for LS1 swap this summer. I am looking into the wiring harness and PCM for the swap. I've found a place that sells harnesses I can use, but I need to reprogram the PCM.
I'll need to disable VATS, possibly EGR, AIR, and I might (depending on what effects it has on tuning for mods) disable the post-cat O2 sensors. Also, odds and ends like fan on temp, rev limiter, etc.
What type of programmer will I need to do this, or will I have to take it somewhere to have it done? Thanks in advance!!

Ok. That's what I was thinking. Thanks.
Is the software you mentioned free ware? Where could I get it? I don't kno of any tuners local, and it might be odd for me to show up with a PCM and a battery.... lol

You have a couple options. First you could send out just your PCM to a mail-order place and they could do the work you listed.
But better yet, buy a copy of HPTuners and do this (and future updates) yourself.
Tuning software is not free, HPTuners is right around $500 iirc so it's not cheap either but well worth it. You'll thank yourself when you get that PCM into the car and you have to make additional changes you didn't take into account.
