for an a4, if you have full bolt ons, intake/exhaust, stall, and some tires you should run in the 12s easy. heads/cam and you're probably somewhere in the 11s.

i'd say for under 5 grand you can make an ls1 an awesome track car. the ls1 is the best bang for your buck, i think. money to power ratio is great.

Should run around 13.5-13.6 @104-105mph. Some a little quicker, some a little slower.

Stock I say 14.0-14.5 in mid west and 13.5-14.0 at sea level. With full bolt ons, full exhaust and slicks, I would say you're looking at high 12's to low 13's mid west and low 12's to mid 12's sea level.

Just going off of what I have seen, read, studied, watched ect...

Where the hell did you get that from?

LOL. That's what stock LT1s run here in the midwest. Only way you'll get times like that with a stock LS1 is with really bad tires, a shitty driver, or a poor runing motor/trans.

Everytime I have seen stock LS1's run and when I ran my LS1 stock where I am at, they have not ran lower than a 14.0. The LT1's would run slightly slower than that at around 14.5-14.7 sometimes almost 15.0 depending on the car and driver.

I'm not sure what your elevation is in SLC, but on average, every stock LS1 I've ever seen run in the upper midwest has been in the mid-13 second range, unless they had a serious traction problem. With a few being in the high 13s and a few in the low 13s....

ya bone stock you can be maybe low 13's or even low 14's ive seen both. Depends on altitude and air quality!

In order to get into the 12's, the easiest would be a 100 shot of nitrous, or you could do a stall converter which will wake your car up drasticly, or do both and be way into the 12's.

We sit around 4k or so feet elevation. Yeah I would spin through third. When I first got my car and was still learning how to drive it, I ran a 14.3 @ 99.7 mph. When I was on the street, it always felt like I could break into the high 13's.

I recently just saw some friends of mine run in Wendover.

One is a 95 LT1 A4 Camaro with full exhaust, intake, new fuel pump and slicks and ran a 13.4 .

The other one is a 2000 LS1 A4 Camaro with gutted cats, muffler cat-back system, intake and cold air, HP Tuners laptop tune and street tires run a 13.5.

I remember reading that there have been drivers taking a car like mine right off the show room floor and running mid 12's on the track. That's really impressive.

I am going to see if I can't put some LT's on, bigger y-pipe, some ET streets or full slicks and re-tune the car and break into the high 12's here without any rear end gear change.

I ran a 14.5 in my stock '89 Formula 350 with a 230hp 350tpi motor. 800ft avove sea level.

14.2 is unusually slow for an LS1 car unless it was about 105* outside with 90% humidity. 14s are definitely not the norm or the average.

They are if you live in high altitude areas such as SLC. You're only at 800 ft. You have to take the average height and so on.

See that's a pretty well rounded time for a stock car.

Not for any of the stock LS1s that I've seen run.

But with 130k on it, that might explain some power loss.

I've seen many stock LS1 cars run at tracks near 800ft above sea level. On average they run mid 13s at 104-105. These were mostly new/low mileage cars though.
