Clutch Problems Well Its time to replace my clutch. The old owner of my car screwed it up and I've noticed it slips alot. I'm looking at a Stage 1 SPEC clutch. I dont know too much about this kinda thing so any advice would be great. I'm also going to replace the flywheel with an aluminum one. Anybody know where to get a good priced clutch kit and flywheel? Thanks |

Don't get the spec. Get a Ram powergrip, you wont be disappointed. |
search on the topic of best clutches. I'm seeing alot of owners who are very satisfied with the new LS7 setup.... |
Try the Manual Transmission forum: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission-14/ They have polls and threads on different types of clutches. ls6 clutch is a great budget alternative for a bolt-on or mild cam car, just don't plan to drag race with it, but for a daily driver it's excellent. I ran it for a while. Might have been superceeded with the ls7 clutch recently, but I don't know the specs on that. Clutchmasters and Textrilia (sp?) are good heavy duty daily driver clutches, but they cost a whole lot more too. But both have stock pedal feel and can handle lots of hp, working flawlessly. |
