Clutch Problems

Well Its time to replace my clutch. The old owner of my car screwed it up and I've noticed it slips alot. I'm looking at a Stage 1 SPEC clutch. I dont know too much about this kinda thing so any advice would be great. I'm also going to replace the flywheel with an aluminum one. Anybody know where to get a good priced clutch kit and flywheel?

Thanks

Don't get the spec. Get a Ram powergrip, you wont be disappointed.

search on the topic of best clutches. I'm seeing alot of owners who are very satisfied with the new LS7 setup....

Try the Manual Transmission forum:

They have polls and threads on different types of clutches.

ls6 clutch is a great budget alternative for a bolt-on or mild cam car, just don't plan to drag race with it, but for a daily driver it's excellent. I ran it for a while. Might have been superceeded with the ls7 clutch recently, but I don't know the specs on that.

Clutchmasters and Textrilia (sp?) are good heavy duty daily driver clutches, but they cost a whole lot more too. But both have stock pedal feel and can handle lots of hp, working flawlessly.
