Thats what I miss about an auto. Stalling that sumbitch up and letting her lose!

Is this a serious poll?? You're honestly asking LS1 owners for our opinions on what car to buy, when the options are all either a bunch of riceburner Jap cars or an LS1?? I think I can predict the outcome of the poll pretty well...
If you like V8's and Muscle cars, why would you even consider buying some ugly riceburner like an Evo or WRX that looks like a toy and sounds like a weed eater?? Its a 4 banger, its got no low end, and they are expensive to buy, mod, and fix. The fixing part comes in after the mods, because the more mods you do the more they break.
The 350Z and S2000 are just a waste of time. The S2000 is a chick car IMO, not to mention its not fast, is rather expensive, and it doesn't take all that well to mods. Same with the 350Z, you can do full bolt ons and not even break 300WHP. They just aren't meant to be made fast, period. RSX is just a sporty FWD economy car, it would make a good daily driver I suppose, but besides that it isn't something I'd ever consider buying.

if your not going to get an ls1, get the subie! they handle very well and can be quick when modded correctly. i have heard they can be hard to tune, but are very reliable. if you think you can find a used evo for cheaper than a subaru, good luck. maybe the other way around. im not much for evos. my buddy has one(decently modded) and its fun to drive, but they look ugly as hell to me. good luck with your search.
for the record, older nissans arent bad. mine has 130k miles and is running like the day i got it with no problems.

every nissan i've seen that's over 5 years old is a piece of crap. i'm not impressed by their durability or longevity at all, not to mention they look like pure plastic. they don't look like a solid car IMO. the G35's a nice car, don't get me wrong, but it's the only nissan/infiniti i'd buy. IMO, the 350Z is a gay-mobile.

LoL I wouldnt buy another g35x. I havent had any problems with mine other than its heavy and slow. Plus the 3.5 with the awd eats as much gas as my camaro did. I like the g35 coups but no awd option and being rwd makes then almost pointless to own in the north east. I will agree that they are nice cars but not worth the money, hence why I will be trading mine in soon.

I think maybe you need to buy something you can afford! The fact that you owe close to $12,000 on the car you have now, plus said you want to pay of credit card debt, and then are talking about buying another $15-$20k car kindda makes me wonder what you are thinking...
Just my $.02

I could also never own a car that has less torque than my lawnmower. Not to mention it sounds like anrgy bees.

If youre seriously worried about the snow then you might wanna consider a car built to handle the snow. not ones that can barely cope. But it looks like the wrx and evo are the only real possibilities due to the snow otherwise i would say a SS all the way. I say wrx

A good set of snow tires and a couple bags of sand in the rear of the car is all you need to get through the winter with RWD.

I voted S2000 only because I didn't see the LS1 option. But since you are coming out of a ricer you may as well get into the Honda. The reason for the S2000 (out of the imports) because I have driven all the cars mentioned and I find it the most fun, and good looking. If you think that you'll be driving 4 friends around in a rally race condition than go with the STI. But it would be stupid for me to say that my opinion would lead me to anything other than an LS1 vehicle because, well, I own one.

I like sti's but for the money i say ls1 ss you will love your car trust me.. i Have been through many cars and this has been the one i realy have a hard time parting with because it drive great. and as far as handling and gas mileage. Get some shocks springs and good tires( which the ss has stock) and thats that. Gas mileage Honestly i average 23mpg mostly City driving 6spd of course and a well taken cared of bolt on car with no tune! So the choice is yours. If i had some extra money to blow i would consider an sti but im not sure if i would get one over my car just as an addition. SS's are sweet cars.

I have driven an LS1 but I think it had springs, it suprised me very much on how little body roll it had, the Mustang GT's however OMFG I could NEVARRR. I love the look of the LS1 and the fact that few can talk **** being as even in stock form unless your talking about vettes, vipers and blown cobras, not many are faster. The best part is though, with those other cars, I can spend almost 1.5x the amount to 2x the amount and get 40 times the bang. I won't settle for a z28 though I want the SS.
