Default Ebay

Ne one ever buy the rotors on ebay? they have cross drilled slotted rotors for like 1**, just wondering if they're good or if they're crap?

Also would a 02sensor for 3* bucks on ebay be good? or will both these things be crap?
**EDITED**

Don't use ebay for anything that relies on your well being. I would trust users on this site 100% more than ebay people. To each their own i guess.

I'll be the dissenting opinion. I bought a set of those rotors on eBay along with a set of hawk pads and I haven't had any trouble with them. They run straight and true and have lasted through quite a few 120 - 0 stops and more without cracking or warping. They work great. Not everyone can afford $500 rotors or $2000 Baer brake kits.

I have Baer rotors on my SS with Hawk pads but I have the iRotors from ebay on my SRT-4 with EBC pads and they work great. They have survived stops from 150 with no fade or warping. I definately like the Baer rotors better but if you are on a budget the ebay ones work fine. Just make sure you buy them from a reputable seller like iRotors.

I just thought it would get a lock because you listed a price. But I have known some people who bought those rotors for there Camaro's and few cracked on them. I will never buy an brake parts from a store on ebay, unless they are selling a name brand.

when looking at drilled rotors you need to see if they were drilled through the ribs or not. i used powerstop rotors and i noticed that the drills were deisgned to be between the ribs, therefore not sacrificing the integrity of the rotor itself. cheaper drilled rotors arent done the same way.

slotted rotors shoudl be fine. the integrity of the rotor is not compromised with slots. also dimpled ones should also be fine. look around, theres some good deals to be had.

02 sesnors by cbs automotive, as well as mac autoparts, and beck arnley

the rotors by raceconepts; V1specs; rotorworks; brakeconcepts; eliteparts;

Why is irotors better than any of the others?

I honestly think that all these rotors are cheap autoparts rotors that have been drilled and slotted and are now selling for double the price

thanks for the help

you are probably right about the rotors, and i assume that they did drill through the ribs. thats why i suggested the brand that i used. heres a pic, and this was on my grand am. (c5 calipers, f-body brackets, rotors, pads)

powerstop, not sure on price...i can lok it up.

of yo look at the edge of a rotors, vented ones are two thin rotors that are sandwiched together. the two thin rotors are separated by ribs, this way air can move between the front and back, for better cooling.

when drilled rotors are drilled into those ribs, it hinders the integrity of the rotors, so that under hot situations, the front and back parts can separate in areas, and could either warp the rotor or crack the rotor.
