steering knuckle cover?

steering knuckle cover? I was looking at how t remove my rack and pinion yesterday, (mines leaking out of the boot) and I saw a plastic cover on the knuckle or steering rod or whatever that connects from the rack and pinion up 2 the steering wheel, the cover is supposed to be at the knuckle, but I don't have it? Anyone have it? Maybe know where I can get it? Gm dealer maybe?,,
