Default my rather.. SAD ownership story.. and pics of my never ending project

i posted part of this in the camaro section, but i thougt some migth like checking this out here that wouldn see it in the other section,

some of you maybe remember when i first startet talking here last august when i bougth my 98 Z28, M6 car, BONE stock and driven 30k,

i was rather unlucky with it.. on the second day i owned it the clutch went bad and the power steering started to leak, i fixed that and the day after i started driving it the engine spun a bearing, and the passenger side window stoped working, all this in 1k miles,

i was rather pissed having this happening in a realy low milage car that i bougth from man in his 60's that haved babyed it fore the past 6 years,

bu anyhow.. i realy liked the car.. its a realy tigth and unmolested car, manual and rather low on options.. ( i like that)

so my options where: let ex owner take it back, or just fixe the car and making the beast out of it that i wanted..

now.. almost 10 months later i have spent most of my money buying stuff in it and working on it,

so far i have bougth

body:
SS rear spoiler
SS 10spoke wheels
kumho 275/40ZR17 tires

drive train:
LS7 clutch kit
LS2 Flywheel

exhaust:
pacesetter ceramid coated long tubes
non cat Y pipe
SLP loudmouth

engine:
99 block
clevite high performance bearrings
clevite perfect circle piston rings,
all bolts from KATECH (rods headstuds and more)
Durabond performace camshaft bearings
LS2 time gear and chain
LS6 ported oil pump
patriot 226/226. 585 112LSA Cam
Patriot ls6 style stageII heads, 59CC
Patriot gold Extreme series double valve springs
Patriot Roller rocker's
chromemoly pushrods
FAST 90mm intake
NW FAST Throttle body
FAST fuel rails
42lb's Injectors
EGR delete.

i am for sure missing somethign out,

also i am working on soundproofing the car, along with other stuff,

here are some pics of it trough the time i have owned it

here it was when i got it, bone stock from bumbper to bumer, only thing un orginal was the Fugly centerlines

few weeks younger pic's

loudmouth installed

motor=dead

Iceland is pretty green I guess. I only say that because the undercarraige looks damn clean! Good luck with the rest of the car.

well you should be over 400 rwhp w/your setup. what CC size eads are you running with the Patriot heads? Im running the exact same heads with 59cc and a Comp 224 and put out 409/388, with a FAST 90/90 and TSP 231/237 im gonna put in over the summer...

Nice write up and glad that you decided to stick it out and keep her.

someone's here are getting over 400 just with cam, so i would be dissapointed with only sligth over it with a fast combo and heads,

You will have id say prob 450-470hp with the stuff you have .. A lil over 400 is a disgrace with heads and cam with fast 90/90 setup will definitely net way over 400 sorry...

The undercarriage is perfect and looks like you are doing everything the right way and not cutting corners .
