New LS1 Owner!!!! I am not new to the site since I use to have a 1994 Trans Am, as much as I loved the car, I always wanted a LS1 Trans Am, at first I liked more the front end treatment GM gave the trans ams from 1998 and up, it did not seem cost effective to do a conversion on my LT1, plus the LS1 engine seemed better in all aspects, my best option was to sell my LT1 and get a LS1. Finally did and bought me a 1999 Trans Am, its not a WS6, but it does have a SLP ram air hood, pacesetter long tube headers, carbon fiber lid, k&n air filter, nkg iridium plugs, full exhaust, h-pipe, pcm tuning. A month has passed by since I bought it and I already did some things to it, I installed taylor wires, 160 thermostat, reprogrammed fans, and today I installed sequential taillights!!!! I plan on getting HIDs for the low beams and foglights later. Nice ride.. Love the color |
Very nice, love that color. |
Thanks everyone for the inputs! I am wondering why nobody has asked about the hood pins...... hehehehehe....... I am going to explain why they're there. They were installed by the previous owner, the whole latch assembly for the hood was removed in order to allow more and free air to enter the lid, so these do serve a purpose, which is keeping the hood in place!!! |
Pretty much the same situation here. I had a 94 Formula and sold it to get my 2000 Formula. I've had it 11 months now and have put less than 2000 miles on it. Miss the throttle response of the LT1 though. |
