Default Under the hood and the junk in the trunk?

Forgive my ignorance but how does one keep the gear underneath the hood clean and shiny?

What does everyone mean by the 10-bolt rear? I know it comes stock with the M6.....that's about all I know....
thanks!

all f-bodies come with 10-bolt rears. also S-10s and alot of other GM vehicles have them. the thing is, ours, which is pretty close to the S-10 version is kinda weak when you have decent tires, especially with an M6 and any kind of power.

Appearance forum sticky for cleaning under the hood:

The "10 bolt" is the name of the rear axle these cars have. It literally has 10 bolts holding the cover on(look under your car). A 12 bolt rear axle has 12 bolts etc...

They "might" can hold up fairly well when modified but it's a TOTAL waste of money. It's still a crap shoot. I know a guy that spend $1000 on his 7.5" 10 bolt & it grenaded the VERY FIRST launch at the drag strip.

cool sig...well if you aren't running sticky tires i'd say wait until it goes out and buy a 9 inch or a 12 bolt

after you wash the car, dump the soap in the bucket on the engine, rinse it off with low pressure water, then start it let the heat dry it ,then spray a little armor all on drive belt and plastic black parts, thennn wipe it off
