labor with drivetrain...id say a conservative 10k all in all, if you do all the labor, then figure 4k for drivetrain, and 1500-2000 or so of extra misc parts

12k minimum. LS2 longblocks are almost 7k.. plus a full wiring harness, plus locating motor mounts, plus a trans + mounts, not sure if your radiator would be enough for it, lots of little things to consider.

Yeah I think you'd be better of buying a newer car with an LS1. Unless your dead set on having an LS2 in which case get ready to shell out some big $$$

it would cost you far more than its worth, unless you just happen to have a LS2 laying around. look at it this way i spent rougly $11-12k on a bigger cube LS2 in a car that previously had an LS1 after install. that's including supporting mods that are necessary like larger fuel injectors, dyno tune, harnesses, mounts, etc. and it this point the car is still nothing more than a burnout machine with a failing drivetrain. it will cost at LEAST $4-5K for a fully built drivetrain. and for the cost of all that you could have a used goat or very nice used f-body. or buy a f-body for $8k and put a procharger on it. but if you got the budget then by all means.

sell the v6, use the money from the v6 and the money you would have used to buy the ls2 and go out and buy an ls1 fbody or vette

Hmm a little bit more expensive than I expected but not too terrible. I won't be breaking the bank for this project for another few years(gotta wait for that insurance drop)and by then hopefully the prices may drop but even if not it's still going to cost me less than if I bought a new car.

And yea, I am pretty much deadset on an LS2.

+1.. ^^ that's probably the best advice man. ls1 cars have better suspension, tranny, bigger radiator, dude, there will be a LOT of work to be done to get this to work for you. Monetarily it really makes more sense just to get an LS1 car and go from there!

sale ur car and buy a GTO. cause if u drop a ls2 into a 94 V6 car its not gonna be worth half the money u have in it
