non LS1...rumbleing when cold

non LS1...rumbleing when cold haha I think this may not be in the right forum and I KNOW this isn't on the right web site but I figured I'd ask and see if I got any help.
I just bought an 87 mazda b2200 today to be my beater and gas mileage car, it's also something to drive while my camaro is down getting modded. But my problem is when I start the truck and the engine is cold it rumbles and shakes the truck. if I give it gas it almost dies. if I wait about a min or 2 then i can give it a little gas without dying. the longer I wait the more gas I can give it I guess cause it's warming up. its carbed and only a 4cyl. it has new spark plugs and it needs new valve seals cause it smokes at first when you start it. but what's causing the shaking?
