kinda new to ls1's, need help for new engine build
ok guys ive had a 02 zo6 that was a cam only car but i never worked on it really. Iam building a ls1 99 short block. Its the block, crank, rods pistons, thats it. [1] I need someone to help me out with a list of everything i need to finsh the engine. [2] Iam looking to build this thing to have good power but cheap with close to stock parts, and maybe a mild cam or zo6 cam. [3] I see alot of heads for sale, do they all fit ls1's , iam just looking for a cheap head or even stock head to port, is there a number for the stock head.
Any help would be great, i know its a lot to ask in one post sorry guys.

You should stick with the factory LS6 short block (better oiling) Get your 243 heads ported and go with a 228 or similar cam or if you want to go big, MS4 or Vindicator would be my choice. Also I would stick with you LS6 intake since you want a cheap build. And Harris Speed Works has nitrous kits cheap right now around $235 for a dry kit and $290 for a wet kit. should be a stong runner.
