Default Noise coming from steering column

In the last few days, I have been hearing a kinda squeeky noise coming from the steering column, maybe the wheel when I turn the wheel. Most of the time I hear it when I turn it to the right. It doesn't seem to affect any performance and there are no visual signs of what the problem is, it is just mainly irratating. If anyone is familiar with this or heard of it before and has any advise on how to make the noise dissappear, please help me out.

Thanks in advance,

James

I spoke with the mechanic and he thinks of a plastic piece underneath the steering column through the dash. Anyone heard of this problem????

No, it is nothing like that, it is more internal, like a quiet squeek when I turn the wheel.

mine often rattles or clunks when i accelerate through turns, know what that could be? i would say yours is something loose in the column. dunno about squeak though.
