Default Thinking about aftermarket heads..... should i keep my cam?

This spring i want to get a set of heads, i am still undecided what brand i want to go with, but i am leaning towards AFR 205 heads. They have a good reputation it seems.

Here is my question... I have heard that the proper cam/ head combo is critical for the best power. My current cam is a 231/237 112 lsa (.595/.605) Would this be a good cam to keep or should i switch to something else? I like my current cam drivability wise. If not, what would you guys reccomend?

This is a beginner question i would suppose, that is why i posted in this section, mods feel free to move however...

thanks.

the AFR 205 heads are good performer that dont need a big cam, i would see no reason for a different cam, actually your current cam will perform better with these heads, i think you will be really happy with the combo

i'd leave that cam in. i had a 231/237 .589/.595 112 with some PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads. my car made 452rwhp with a M6 and Moser 9". the AFR's and your cam might be closer to 460-470rwhp....especially if you get your FAST ported.
