It splices into the wire between the O2 sensor and the PCM... on my friends 99 firebird it was actually the purple wire that runs into the PCM... I dont know if its the same for camaros...

Dr side

I put one of those air fuel gauges in. All it did was flash back and forth constantly. Completely worthless IMO.

Go wideband if you really need your AFR.

Don't potentially mess up your PCM's reading of your o2 sensors, by splicing into the wiring. Narrow band is worthless. Go wideband, you can get an AEM Uego around 250 on ebay new. The guy who owned my car before me, had narrowband installed. When I went to tune it after my head and cam swap, my o2 were only reading .400mv removed all his wiring and resoldered and they started to cycle like they were suppose it. Plus those sensors are designed to cycle very high and low fast for the PCM's own information, when you do hook it up all it will do is bounce around any ways.

You need a pigtail that installs between the O2 and the factory connector and has another wire coming out, so you don't have to splice any wires or screw up the PCM's signal. I have seen them from Speed Inc but I'm sure some one else has them. I think they are like 20 bucks.
