coil packs
ok im confused im thinking about getting a 98 and up ss or t/a but how do the coil packs work on the lS1 i know this is probably a dumb question but I wanted to know. Basically do you change them all at the same time when you do a tune up? and how much do they cost. As much info as possible would be awesome thanks alot guys.

ok, do you you know how much they run when they go out? and how hard is it to change them and how much do tune ups usually go for on the LS1 cars if i was to take it to a shop. Cause i have heard working on LS1 cars is a little easier than working on LT1 cars but still not very easy at all lol

changing them is pretty easy
not real sure on price but if you are certain one isnt working you might check a junk yard and pick one up cheap.
ive always thought working on ls1's were pretty easy, #8 spark plug can be a bitch but nothing big. dont know about taking it to a shop, always do my own work

my bro 00 tahoe has 225k in it and it has factory coils. not problems as of yet.
there is a member on here that sells MSD wires and plugs NGK tr55 or 56 for 75 shipped.

I just changed my #8 coil I got it from the part store for 54 bucks. They are easy to change, sparkplugs on the other hand I'm not a fan of. Its one of those things when you have to get as far under the hood as you can. all in all its worth the work.
